Muscles & Fights 2 - In-Store Signing & Publication Party

Don't pass up your opportunity to have me ruin your copy by drawing all over it.

McCarthy Cookies

What does victory taste like? It tastes like frosted icing slathered over a sugar cookie in the shape of a snowman. With sprinkles. The third annual Ziegenfuss cookie decorating contest resulted in my winning "Most Creative" for my rendition of the abominable snowman from RUDOLPH, THE RED-NOSED REINDEER, and Heather Hlavka winning "Honorable Mention" for her faithful portrait of Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings.

Meatfist & Gronk

A pin-up for my friend Bud Burgy, one of the masterminds behind MUSCLES & FIGHTS.

Thoughts Clouded

I just flew back from Mid-Ohio-Con and boy are my arms tired.

ALIEN8

Mid-Ohio-Con 2007

Look for me at the Guardian Line booth in Battelle Hall in the Greater Columbus Convention Center, November 24 & 25. I'll be the one drawing sketches, signing comics, and looking terribly uncomfortable.

Muscles & Fights 2 - Review

"Kevin McCarthy's contribution “Fantasy Fighter” is also very reminiscent of old ’70s underground comix. It’s dirty and surreal, yet the art is sparse enough so that each page looks almost like a kids coloring book, giving the story a surprising innocence and naivete." - Mike Everleth for BadLit.com.

The Seekers #3

The third issue of the series I write for UMI/The Guardian Line arrives in stores this week, with art by Tony Tamai.
