Sketchbook Pages

The transition from the last sketchbook to the next is always slow and painful. The new sketchbook sits neglected, sometimes for weeks, waiting for me to break it in. Until I do, here are a few pages from the book I recently finished.

King Hellbender

After defeating ten worthy opponents to claim the title of "Battle Royale - West" champion, my fighter, King Hellbender, though he fought courageously, lost in the "Battle Royale - Final. " It looks as though the king came in third or fourth (out of four) so it wasn't even close. Maybe he should take up knitting. Thanks to everyone who believed in (voted for) him.

McCarthy Toys

Here's a toy squid Heather and I made as a gift for our little niece. Heather did all the hard work (sewing), I just drew a little picture, handed it off to her, and about two hours later we had calamari.
